How to Join a Talent Network

Interested in working for one of the companies on a specific job board, but don't quite see anything that's a fit right now? 


While you can always set up a job alert to get notified if any roles appear that meet your criteria, you can also consider joining a Talent Network too. 



Why join a Talent Network? 


Creating a talent profile will allow companies to get a sneak peek at who you are - your background, interests, and what you're looking for from them. That way, they'll have your contact info in case anything aligned comes their way. 


And if they're GetroConnect users? They just might share your profile out to their listed companies if they think you might be a fit for a specific role. It's "set it and forget it" job seeking - let your profile work for you in the background while you focus on other things. 



Here's how to join a Talent Network: 


1. First, head to your job board of choice and click the 'Talent Network' tab. 



Once you click the Join now button, you'll be directed to a quick 3 minute form to enter your information to join the talent network. Here's what to expect.



2. Specify the area you're most interested in. You're welcome to select multiple options here. 




3. Select your experience level.




4. Select where you'd like to work. 

Note: Even if you select 'Full remote,' you'll still need to add a location you'll be working from remotely in order to move to the next screen.




5. Share your job search status. 




6. Chose whether you'd like to subscribe to relevant jobs. 




7. Add your relevant information, like your email, LinkedIn profile, and resume. 


The best part? Getro encriches all contact data via LinkedIn. That means as long as you add your Linkedin (which is a required field), your work history data will always be up to date in the Talent Network, even if you change jobs. 


Of course, if you uploaded a Resume and want to get a an updated one in the system, all you need to do is go through this flow again in the future. Our system won't create a duplicate contact record, we'll just update your resume to the latest one your submitted. Easy as that! 





At the end of the sign-up process, you will have added your information to the talent network. 

The more information you fill out on your profile, the more likely it is that you will hear from companies about their opportunities. 


You're now part of your desired org's Talent Network. Congrats!


As a final note, there's no other action needed - no logins or anything else. Just know your info is accessible and you'll be contacted if any relevant roles arise.
