GetroConnect List Guide: Maximizing Your Lists in GetroConnect

Creating and sharing lists with your team, founders, or other stakeholders is the first step in unlocking the power of your network. To maximize the impact of your GetroConnect module, feel free to use the example lists in this guide to start creating value for your organization. 


Types of lists

In GetroConnect, you can create a general or auto-update list. A general list is only updated whenever you add new contacts to the list while auto-update lists will continuously add new contacts based on specific criteria and filters you select. Both lists can be valuable depending on what you’d like to achieve and how you plan to leverage them. 

 

General lists 

Here are some examples of general lists you can create in your GetroConnect module.


  • List of Portco Founders
  • How to use it? A list of founders can be shared within your network so that founders can connect and easily see who else in your portfolio 

  • List of Expert network members
  • How to use it? This list can be shared so that people can search through advisors in your network and request introductions.  

  • List of contacts from an event 
  • How to use it? When you organize or attend an event, you can consolidate a list of attendees that can be used to track experiences or relationship building.  

Auto-update lists

 Here are some examples of auto-update lists you can create in your GetroConnect module. 

  • List of executives in a particular field
  • If your portfolio companies are always looking for specific roles, with an auto-update list, your GetroConnect module will automatically add profiles that match the filters you select (ex. job title, years of experience etc).  

  • How to use it? These lists can be helpful as you build your talent network and start scoping upcoming roles. 

  • List of contacts who could be relevant as sales prospects 
  • How to use it? This is similar to the list of executives; however, by using the industry and size of current company filters, your team can identify champions that portfolio companies can sell to.

  • List of all talent network sign-ups  
  • How to use it? Use this list to inform founders, recruiters, or connections in your network of individuals open to new opportunities.

  • List of all contacts
  • How to use it? Give people the ability to search the whole network to request intros

  • List of all founders in your network 
  • Create a list that automatically adds people who have “founder” in their LinkedIn profile 

  • How to use it? This list can be valuable for an investment team to subscribe to identify potential founders in the fund’s network they could invest in.



Match lists
